Living in Dreamland

Day Six: Something to aspire to.

I have seen many knitted things, but one which really stopped me in my tracks was this knitted *ballgown*. The pattern is called Arwen and is quite simply, utterly divine.

I really don't think I will ever find the time (and patience) to make this Thing of Wonder...I can but dream! *sigh*

That is a thing of beauty! I'm always amazed at these gorgeous dresses that people knit or crochet!

It is amazing O_O *staring in wide eye wonder* That must have taken multiple knitters to make. Are there needles that long to make a gown on?

Hmmm...my guess would be that it might be worked in panels? Or maybe super-long circular needles.

That is beautiful! Where would I wear it?? I think if I knit it, I'd just wear it everywhere because it's so amazing.

Oooh.. pretty! I wonder how heavy it is.

My worry with this pattern is whether it would be pleasant to wear that much kidsilk haze. Brilliant challenge though

WOW! When I was a kid I occasionally dreamed of making myself a wedding dress, and it oddly looked kind of like that pattern.

Wow, just wow! I saw a knitted wedding dress recently and thought that was cool, this is even more involved. I can't begin to imagine the patience required!
