I'm definitely not a religious person. If I did have to choose a religion, I believe it would have to be music. It really does make life worth living (for me at least). Continuing with that metaphor, this song would have to be one of my hymns. It's a truly beautiful piece of music which has really resonated with me recently.

I also love the music video, a stunning animation which fits the song so well. It has a wonderfully organic feeling to it.

Enjoy! Have a great rest-of-weekend :)

Pinch, punch - first of the month!

Day Five: And now for something completely different...

I decided to create a flash animation for today's post - I made two variations but couldn't choose between them, so I have uploaded both!

Yarn-obsession + knowledge of flash = Yarn animation! (Yarnimation?!)

Finders Keepers

I adore this stop-frame animation/film...and not just because the music (a song called 'Sleepwalking' by A Fine Frenzy) seems to marry perfectly with the visuals. You may have seen it before on etsy or elsewhere, but it's such an inspiration that I thought I'd share it here anyway!

Have a fabulous weekend... might even see some of y'all at Magpie! ;)

Paper Dreams

Now, just so you know, I don't consider myself particularly a fan of Paloma Faith...but I stumbled across this, entitled "In all the World I Dream in Paper" and it intrigued me, what can I say. I very much like the idea of paper as a medium for sculpture, dreams and inspriation. Enjoy!

Knitting up a Storm

Here is a little treat, in the form of an animated knitted clip. I just love this video for Walkie Talkie Man by Steriogram. So much fun!

I hope you enjoyed Knitting & Crochet Blog Week as much as I did. It was a challenge to write about some of the topics but I'm glad I took part and it was great to read blog posts by the other participants. Kudos to Eskimimi for dreaming it all up!

It's also got me quite psyched up about starting a few projects and designing some new knitting patterns. I'm considering offering more PDF patterns in my etsy shops too - I currently have some baby shoe patterns over in the WildKittens shop, in case anyone's interested :)

Woolly Warmth

As a lover of all things knit, you'll probably be able to figure out why I enjoyed this! :)
